It has just been announced that Newman University is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for three fully-funded home/EU, full-time PhD studentships. The application deadline is 27 February, for an October 2015 start. The briefing is as follows: Newman University aspires to be recognised regionally, nationally and internationally for the quality of its research and scholarship. As part of the University’s continued commitment to supporting the most promising students to undertake in depth postgraduate research, applications are invited for three fully-funded PhD Studentships for three years (full-time) for UK or EU students. The Studentship includes a subsistence grant in line with the recommendations of the UK research Councils (currently £13,863 p.a. for 2014-15) with all fees paid. Further Home/EU PhD Studentships are expected to be available to commence in October 2015. The University supports world-leading and internationally recognised research across a broad range of disciplines (including the Human Sciences, Sport, Psychology, Education and the Humanities) and applications are welcome in any of these areas.
